Humdrum is an non-profit making amateur dramatics group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire that aims to bring under performed theatrical works to the stage. Over more than ten years Humdrum have created over 38 productions that have earned them a reputation of staging innovative, critically acclaimed works.

Although Humdrum membership is primarily based in South Hampshire our audience comes from across the country, due to the fact that we are very often the only group in the country to be performing a certain piece. Our demographic is also very wide, from students studying theatre at school to regularly attending pensioners. Over the years we have played to tens of thousands of audience members and made Humdrum widely recognised across the region.

Humdrum aims to stage at least three productions a year and appropriately has marketing campaigns for each production. The core of our marketing is from poster and flyer publicity across the city and surrounding regions. On average 7,000 flyers and 2,000 posters (A2, A3 and A4) are distributed to shops, businesses, restaurants, community centres with additional leaflet drops to households for larger campaigns. We have extensive coverage throughout the city by using Bill and Poster boards situated at prime tourist and commercial centres. Press coverage includes local radio and television and we obtain significant coverage in local newspapers, freepress and journals. All productions are listed with Local and National Arts/Theatre organisations. Additional coverage is attained by local advertising in Programmes of other companies' productions - this has the advantage of tapping into their own distinct demographic market.

Over 3,000,000 people visit the city of Portsmouth every year, most of whom visit during the summer months. With the opening of Gun Wharf, a multi-million pound waterfront development and the Tall Ships race returning to the Historic Dockyard, the International Festival of the Sea - a long weekend of non-stop activities, water sports and waterborne displays, Georgian street markets, open air concerts all based around the Historic Dockyards and Naval Base and attracting an extra 350,000 visitors over the weekend, Portsmouth has undergone somewhat of a renaissance.

To assist us to stage productions we are looking for Corporate Sponsorship or partners. Sponsorship would ensure your company and corporate logo being associated with the production and publicity and reaping the benefit of the preferential publicity given to Community Groups within the city. Sponsorship will also ensure advertisement space appearing in our programmes and on our website, and as an added benefit your company would also receive a number of free tickets to distribute.
