You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

Review

An accomplished performance by a good cast from HumDrum AmDram. Homespun philosophiesof the children and animals of Schulz's genius resonating in the adult world are brought to life through a theatre of cartoon strips in visual, active and aural form.

James George in the title role achives the right amount of pathos, not only through his command and timing of accents and voice but through the control of facial expressions and childlike mannerisms.

Peter Colley gives a humourous portayal of Snoopy, a dog with a mind and adventures of his own. Some humour is lost through lack of timing and there is a question mark over the need for radio mikes. But HumDrum again prove their worth.
