Tom's Midnight Garden

Tom's brother has measles, so Tom is packed off to stay with his aunt and uncle. Things get worse when Tom finds they live in a small flat in a converted Victorian house... with no garden. Feeling trapped, frustrated, and lonely, Tom tries to make the best of things.

One night he hears the grandfather clock in the downstairs hall strike thirteen. Thirteen? Thirteen o'clock? What does thirteen o'clock look like?

Unable to see the clock-face in the dark, he opens the back door to let in the moonlight... and finds a huge garden.

And Hatty.

Hatty who feels trapped, fruistrated, and lonely...

Based on Phillippa Pearce's beautiful Carnegie Medal-winning novel, Tom's Midnight Garden tells the story of a friendship that crosses the bridge of time.
